For this presentation we will discuss in detail the material science of the rubber covered rollers. Topics will include a brief history of rubber, formulation and milling basics, vulcanization curing systems, material physical properties and test methods, lab testing instruments, batch quality verification and the effects of heat, overview of the common elastomers used in today's machines, pressure and temperature on various compounds.
